I wanted to drop a quick note to you about how the Erie coaching staff wants to proceed with fall baseball. We feel it is in the best interest of the kids for us to join the NoCo Roughneck group. The coaching staff from Erie will be involved with coaching the Roughnecks and joining this group will allow the kids to play games and get the experience needed for the upcoming High School season. The Roughnecks are holding tryouts tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5th, to place kids on teams. Please see the email from the Roughnecks that we posted here.
Currently, we plan on having Erie Baseball workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and the Roughnecks will practice on Wednesdays. The time for Erie Baseball workouts may change with fall sports having priority over non-seasonal sports and we will provide updates as more information becomes available. Another benefit of joining the Roughnecks club team is the flexibility of practice facilities for the kids. I still believe in being Erie only, but with this pandemic and the situation this gives the boys the best chance to play ball and that is what matters most.
If you have questions, please email or call me.
